PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation)

Purpose

The PPWR aims to reduce the environmental impact of packaging by strengthening requirements related to material composition, recyclability, traceability, documentation, and extended producer responsibility. The first key requirements will apply from 12 August 2026 to packaging placed on the EU market from that date onward.

Supplier Collaboration

As an importer and distributor, we work closely with our suppliers to ensure that relevant technical documentation and required information are available in accordance with the regulation's requirements. We continuously assess and follow up with our suppliers to ensure that they can provide the necessary documentation upon request from authorities or customers.

Our Producer Responsibility

Wulff Supplies is affiliated with approved producer responsibility schemes in the markets where we operate, including NPA in Sweden, Grønt Punkt in Norway, and ERP Recycling in Denmark.

Responsibility for Customer-Specific Packaging

For customer-specific or private label packaging, the allocation of responsibilities under the PPWR may differ from that of standard products. In such cases, we work together with our customers to clarify roles, responsibilities, and the packaging information required to comply with applicable regulations.

Wulff Supplies closely follows the development of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and works systematically to ensure that the packaging we supply complies with both current and upcoming legal requirements. Through continuous monitoring of regulatory developments and ongoing adaptation of our processes, we ensure compliance with the requirements that are gradually coming into force across the EU.
