These printers use dynamic security measures to block cartridges that have a non-HP chip or modified or non-HP electronic circuits. Regular firmware updates will maintain the effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. Recycled HP chips and electronic circuits enable the use of recycled, remanufactured and refilled cartridges.
